Library & Games Room

In addition to the guests private lounge areas in all rooms, we also invite our guest join us in our sitting room come library. With it's large collection of books ranging from the classics, modern day thrillers and romance novels there's something for everyone. So after a busy day of sightseeing you can kick back and enjoy a relaxing evening with a good book and friends (glass of wine optional!) in front of our open log fire.

Alternatively if films are more your idea of a relaxing time we also have a large selection of DVD's for all ages and tastes to borrow and watch in the comfort of your room.

Also for communal use is our games room with snooker/billiards table, a selection of board games for all ages, plus a game console for the younger guests (and those bigger kids) age appropriate games provided only.

What's for Breakfast?

After what we hope will be a good night's sleep, what better way to set yourself up for another fun packed day than with one of our breakfasts. With many organic and locally sourced products we have something for everyone whatever your appetite, tastes or dietary requirements.

Free Breakfasts

You can choose from the following:

Cooked Breakfasts

Traditional English (with a twist)

Pork or vegan sausages, bacon, eggs - fried/scrambled/poached, fresh tomatoes fried in oregano infused oil, potato rosti, black pudding, baked beans

Lighter options

Slow cooked oats(gluten free) plain or our daily special (e.g cinnamon/raisin, honey/almond, red berry)

Home baked granary or white toast (gluten free available) topped with any of the following:

  • Eggs - fried/scrambled/poached, with the addition of either bacon/ham/smoked salmon
  • Eggs benedict or florentine
  • Spinach or rocket, mashed avocado, fresh tomato and topped with poached egg (optional - sprinkled with fresh chilli)

Self Service Buffet

We also have a selection of cereals: homemade muesli, granola, rice puffs, cornflakes, branflakes or wheat biscuits

Yogurt: natural/goats/soya

Fresh fruit: salad, seasonal fruit compote

Fruit Juices: apple, freshly squeezed orange

Home baked granary or white toast (gluten free available), fresh baked croissants and pastries with a selection of preserves

Breakfast baskets

Don't want to rush to get up for breakfast? Wanting to have a lazy morning in bed (and why not you are on holiday!) then we can provide a breakfast basket to your room containing:

Home baked bread of your choice, a selection of home baked croissant, pastries, cheeses and preserves, fresh fruit salad with yogurt of your choice

So with the addition of fresh juice and hot drinks already available in your room there'll be no need to get up before lunch!

Breakfast on the go

We know some of you maybe early risers and want to out and about at the crack of dawn, so we have available for you a Grab Bag with the following items to choose from:

Apple/orange juice, fruit, yogurt pots, home baked croissant/pastries, homemade energy cereal bars

Alternatively take away a hot filled sandwich or croissant with either or a combination of sausage, bacon, fried egg along with a hot beverage or juice

Chilled Champagne

Picnic Hampers

We can also help pack you up for the day ahead with one of our picnic selections whether you are off for a day's hiking, local sightseeing by car or looking for a romantic feast we think we have you covered.

All our hampers come with a choice of the following beverages:

Flask of hot water with a selection of tea, coffee and hot chocolate, fresh orange or apple Juice, homemade cloudy lemonade, sparkling elderflower or a bottle of still/sparkling water

Our Luxury & Lovers hampers in addition to the above soft drinks also comes with a choice of red or white wine please check our wine stock when ordering your hamper. You may also add champagne to your hamper for an additional charge

Please be aware that we will need 3 working days notice for all hamper orders. Also a £50.00 deposit will be held against your room account for the use of our hamper, crockery, cutlery and glassware (travel rugs also available). This will be removed from your account on the safe return of all items - but don't worry we'll happily wash them on return

  • Light lunch

    Deli filled sandwich or salad box, potato or veg crisps, fresh fruit plus a drink

  • Hiking lunch

    Same as light lunch with the addition of homemade energy cereal bars and a bag of high energy trail mix

  • Small hamper

    Fresh baguettes either pre-filled or with a selection of two deli filling pots, potato or veg crisps, fresh fruit or fruit salad and yogurt bowl plus a drink

  • Medium hamper

    Fresh baguettes with a selection of cold roast meats or cheeses with pickles/chutney, choice of two deli filling pots, salad box, either a rice or pasta salad, potato or veg crisps, fresh fruit or fruit salad and yogurt bowl, home baked cake plus a drink

  • Large hamper

    Fresh baguettes with a selection of cold roast meats or cheeses with pickles/chutney, pork or vegetarian pie, choice of four deli filling pots, salad box, either a rice or pasta salad, potato or veg crisps, fresh fruit or fruit salad and yogurt bowl, home baked cake plus a drink

  • Luxury hamper

    Fresh baguettes with a selection of cold roast meats or smoked salmon, cheeses, pate(vegetarian available), roasted mediterranean vegetables and couscous salad, mozzarella/sun-dried tomato and basil pasta Salad, dressed mixed leaf salad box, with either panna cotta with summer fruit compote or dark chocolate mousse with fresh raspberries, rich yorkshire fruitcake and a box of handmade chocolate truffles plus a soft drink of choice and a bottle of wine

  • Lovers hamper

    Slices of ciabatta Bread, smoked salmon or cold roast meats, cheese board with biscuits, pate selection(vegetarian available), parmesan crisps, dressed mixed leaf salad box, strawberries and cream, handmade chocolate truffles plus a soft drink of choice and a bottle of wine or champagne
